Mrs. Barton is the 5th grade teacher at HIS Kids Christian School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Clarion University and a Master’s Degree in ESL from Jones International University. She has been teaching since 1998! She previously taught 2nd grade, inclusion, 5th grade, and 8th grade at Evangel Heights Christian Academy in Sarver, PA. She has been a substitute teacher in the Butler and Armstrong School District’s for the last two years. She enjoys teaching all subjects, but Math is her favorite!
“My passion for teaching happened when I was a little girl when my sister and I would play school for hours; I was rarely the student! However, I do enjoy learning new things. I live in Worthington, Pennsylvania with my husband Todd, my daughter Ava, and my crazy dog, Bindi! I enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family. I love to kayak and read too! I am a full-time swim mom and enjoy watching my daughter swim the 50 freestyle. It is her favorite race! Our church family is at New Life Christian Ministries in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania where we have attended for the past few years. I am excited to be here at HIS Kids and I hope this is my best year yet!”
